About MeMy name is Tyler Scholl. I am a senior at Hilliard Bradley High School. I like to read, play video games, and play tennis in my free time. I play tennis for the school. I also enjoy chess, watching movies and hanging out with friends.
I started martial arts when I was five. I began practicing Tae Kwon Do, added Haidong Gumdo (sword) and then Gongkwon Yusul (Korean ground fighting). The past few years I have focused mainly on Gongkwon Yusul. I am a third degreee black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a second degree black belt in Haidong Gumdo, and I reached the rank of black belt last year Gongkwon Yusul. COVID-19 paused my training for two months while the studio was closed. Since we have been back I have been able to practice, with precautions and more guidelines, although it was more difficult to get ready for a seminar. |
My Project
My capstone project involved me teaching, demonstrating and helping with a Gongkwon Yusul martial arts seminar. I chose this project because it is something I enjoy, I wanted to expand my ability to instruct, and I want to continue to teach and expand my martial arts experience in the future.
